Unable to feel, and yet, the tears roll down.
I’m about to blow and being a man
Means I can’t let this shit show. And so,
like the joker with no makeup,
I uncarve this frown.
Drawing blanks when I let
the glock of examples blow.
ABOUT ME
What’s being
a man? How
should I know?
Abandoned, with only
imprints
on my mind like
tracking wolves in the
wintertime guided
by the blood
of my hopes
in the snow.

My Story
Being homeless is probably my first memory in this world. A nightmare I had in a shelter is the second or third. Initially, and maybe naturally, I had much disdain for this condition. Sacrificing meals or forgoing a day out with friends felt noble at the time, sure. But, not comfortable. As a result, by the time I was in high school, I was in every sport and several clubs for 2 reasons. 1) I did not have to be home. 2) I had all the agency to take advantage of anything I wanted to.
This led me to a medical program at UIC, a philosophy program at Brown University, a homestay in Istanbul, Turkey and a Mandarin language intensive course in Chengdu, China; each program a summer long. From these experiences and from my introduction to this world, I feel there is no reason for me not to express my interests, perspectives, and ideas as they can literally change my environment.
Expression.
It is the entire reason behind why I make art. From the poetry book I published, to the Soundcloud beats I upload a few times a month, the core is about taking the whole of, or very specific experiences and letting them bleed out together. Also, allowing me to be more emotionally vulnerable by providing a release that further helps me process what I feel. Now I could go into the things needed for my inner black child to express himself but you’ll have to read the book for that. The abstract style with which I paint allows me to leave many of my emotions still enveloped in black lines and chaotic movements, while those that are most intrigued can begin the journey of discovery.

Finding All Forms of Art in Architecture
I believe that art has the power to inspire, transform, and connect people.
My goal is to bring this power to life by creating explicit and multi-media forms of art.
